1. Biggest Influence(s)?
Always a hard one, but basically everything from Glen Campbell to Merle Haggard to Charlie Walker, as well as those great Muscle Shoals soul records and pop bands we grew up with like the Beatles and the Raspberries.
2. Favourite records/tracks old or new?
Favorite albums would be "Reunion" by Glen Campbell and Jimmy Webb or "The Legendary Lefty Frizzell" on ABC records. Then again, there's always "Together Again" by Buck Owens, or "Friend," by Freddie North. Great soul version of "She's All I Got" on that!!!
3. What would you be if not a musician?
in jail, I assume.
4. Career high point so far?
Playing at Opryland. Or opening for Merle Haggard.
5. Perfect night off?
Watching Law and Order or the old Zorro TV series with my son and wife.
6. Most recent CD in your CD player?
Buck Owens-"the Warner Bros. Recordings" and the Raspberries "Live on Sunset Strip."
7. Favourite book/film?
Wow, that's tough. Hmm...
Book: The Movie Goer by Walker Percy
Movie:Brides of Dracula with Peter Cushing.
8. Whiskey - Jack or Jim?
Right now, it's Jim. But I go back and forth. As long as it's not Evan Williams - I'm too old for that stuff!
