1. Biggest Influence(s)?
As a band, I would say the biggest influence we all share would be, first and foremost, the punk rock scene here in LA that took place in the 80's. We all went through it and were affected deeply by it separately, but when we all first met and started playing music, it was enormously obvious that we had all been struck to our cores by that scene and everything that went along with it. The gigs, the clubs, the records, the record stores, the beers drunk in the parking lots, all of it.
As far as individual bands go, X was and is a major, major influence on all of us. The Clash, The Replacements, REM, The Gun Club, Thelonious Monster, The Minutemen, Meat Puppets, Sonic Youth, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Charles Mingus, Eric Dolphy, and a whole lot
of other bands and musicians have had a hand in shaping Three Bean Salad's thinking amd methods.

2. Favourite records/tracks old or new?
Los Angeles- X
Double Nickels On The Dime- The Minutemen
The Velvet Underground- The Velvet Underground
Los Lobos- How Will The Wolf Survive?
The Plugz- Better Luck
Patti Smith Group- Horses
The Clash- London Calling
The Gun Club- Fire of Love

3. What would you be if not a musician?
A full-fledged guttersnipe and/or bindlestiff.

4. Career high point so far?
Way back when we first started, we opened up for a band named Feisty Mackerel. Now then, this was a band that not only named themselves after a fish, they actually wore very large cardboard and latex fish heads as they played. They were also one of the single worst bands any of us have ever heard, just plain awful.
We count that as a highlight because here it is, over 15 years later, and that night still makes each and every one of us laugh our Three Bean asses off.
Thank you for that, Feisty Mackerel.

5. Perfect night off?
A big, meat-filled BBQ in Eddie's backyard. We have had plenty of these nights and we never, ever get tired of them. Lots of food, lots of beers, lots of laughs, lots of friendship. We all just sleep wherever we fall down for the night and in the morning, we clean up and wait for it to all happen again.

6. Most recent CD in your CD player?
Graveyard Jones by Jake La Botz.

7. Favourite book/film?
Film: Race With The Devil, starring Mr. Warren Oates.
Book: Of Mice And Men by Mr. John Steinbeck.

8. Whiskey - Jack or Jim?
Glenfiddich single malt scotch when we can afford it. Jack when we can't, and I.W. Harper when we can't afford Jack, and paint thinner when we can't afford Harper.
