Although a relative newcomer to the pin-up scene, Susan Heidi is a natural born artist. She began drawing figurative works at age five – fascinated by the ability to create a likeness on paper, this quickly became a passion. Susan recently began to focus her portraiture skills on the art of the pin-up. Her latest paintings feature retro pin-up models Dolly Esquire and Heidi Van Horne. Susan recently launched her website (Susan Heidi Pin-Up Art) where the visitor can view her artwork, learn more about the artist, and purchase fine art prints and merchandise.

In my attempt to find interesting and talented artists to show their work on the pages of SP Fanzine I couldn’t resist including Susan Heidi who is based in New York. To find out a bit more about her she kindly agreed to answer an adapted version of
SP’s ‘Straight 8’ questions and show some examples of her paintings.
Susan has been real busy lately. Not only has she recently finished the three paintings seen below but you can now purchase her artwork and T-shirt designs HERE
Check Susan’s website to see these and all her other paintings in all their glory. Her latest painting (far right) is awesome.
