We all have vast influences as you do in a band. Here are a few - Gene Vincent, most Sun artists 1954-59, Link Wray & various early surf, 1950's Australian, NZ & UK R’N’R. A lot of modern Aussy, Swedish & European rockin’ bands. Early and modern western swing and country & western. Check out our web influences for further info.
2. Favourite records/tracks old or new?
Hmmmn, again a hard one. Stop Twistin My Arm & Bloody Mary - The Playboys (uk), Hepcat - Larry Terry, B-I-Bickey-Bi, Bo-Bo-Go - G. Vincent, The Swag - Link Wray, Crazy Arms - Ray Price, Gasoline Baby - Hanks Jalopy Demons (Australia), Ballad Of Johhny Walker - Jason Lee Wilson, The Pharoah - Don Cavalli (Belgium), Two Bit Dive - The Hi-Winders (Sweden), AV8 Boogie - Jack Baymoore (Sweden) to name a few. There’s just too much great rockin’ sounds out there you know?
3. What would you be if not a musician?
We ain’t muso's, we all work for a livin! Chance would be a fine thing!
4. Career high point so far?
For me, playing at Wintersun Festival in Brisbane, Australia and annually at Mr Booboo's tiki party. Another high point was recording at the infamous legendary Preston Recording Studios in Melbourne, also doing various backing trax for other bands there such as Benny and the Fly Bi Nighters & Flat Foot Shakers and working with other Aussy ,musicions
5. Perfect night off?
Me(SC) not at work , just chillin out with family and friends. Blacky - makin’ money, Bob - playin with his dragster or boozin, Damo - playing in other bands (he is 20 years younger than us older farts) & family.
6. Most recent CD in your CD player?
Crazy Kev & Tracy Gilberts always supply us with good sounds,
7. Favourite book/film?
Fave films again so many, Tarantino movies, 5th Element, Old Hot Rod films, Thunderbirds & Stingray.
8. Whiskey - Jack or Jim?
Mostly we drink lager, beer (bob) Guiness, but Jack & Jim always come to the party, hic! hehe.
